During Barry's last month of illness he recieved a
substantial amount of money donated by his internet friends to help with the
cost of his treatment. While in the hospice Barry really missed being able to
keep in touch with the rest of the world. We decided that as a tribute to Barry
we would use that money to supply the hospice with a computer so that other
patients would be able to keep in touch.
On the 16th of February Ron, Jill, Alan, Kirsten and Karen
made the presentation to the hospice.
The computer is set up with Barry's 'One
Tree Hill' photo as the background and a selection of his photos
as the screensaver.
We have also put a copy of 'The Wingless Cafe' with the
computer to depict his Internet friends.
St Josephs Mercy Hospital sent this letter in thanks for
the donation, although the three of us are named and thanked in the letter we
would like to make it clear that it was the money donated by all Barry's
internet friends that made this donation possible.
